GRAPEVINE, Ky. — On September 18th the Tug Valley Bass Anglers held its seventh tournament of the 2016 season on Fishtrap Lake. 28 anglers competed in the event.

Fishtrap Lake was about a foot and a half below normal pool, the water was clear with a temperature around 80 degrees.

Weather for the tournament was soggy with a air temperature around 70. It rained the entire day, moderate to hard most of the time.

The fish were caught in the creeks and on the main lake from 1 to 10 foot of water, they seemed to be nowhere in particular.

The main pattern for this tournament was to fish top water most all day because of the low light conditions. Even with the conditions, because Fishtrap is so clear most all the fish were still relating to wood cover. As you can tell from the standings this lake is one tough place.

The top finishers are as follows.

1st — Kevin Runyon —- (1 fish) 5.35 lbs.

2nd —Tommy Hopkins —- (1 fish) 5.28 lbs.

3rd— MO —- (1 fish) 2.63 lbs.

4th — Joe Collins —- (1 fish) 2.20 lbs.

5th —Lynn Fields —- (1 fish) 1.88 lbs.
