RED JACKET — The Mingo Central Cheerleaders will be hosting the sixth annual Mini Miner Cheer Camp for the youth of the community.
If your child would like to learn some of the Mingo Central Cheerleaders cheers along with a dance routine they will be able to learn from the cheerleaders and coach themselves on Aug, 8-9 at Mingo Central High School. Sign-ups will be held at the High School on July 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on July 30. from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
The camp is open to children three years old and up and each camper will learn proper cheer techniques, along with two cheers and one dance routine. The camp will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Mingo Central High School gymnasium on August 8 and 9. Awards will be given out each day at the camp. The cost of the camp will be $25 dollars per child.
The Miners head cheer coach, Wendy Cisco said, “This is our sixth year hosting the camp, we love the camp and we love interacting with the youth. It’s such a great opportunity for the children of the community to get to work with the high school cheerleaders that they look up to.”
