GOODY, K.y. – The Belfry boys’ soccer team added another win on Tuesday evening after they blanked the Pike Central Hawks 9-0.
Ashton Leedy scored the first goal for the Pirates during the 9th minute. Noah McNamee scored during the 20th minute from an assist from teammate Blake Mendoza to set the tone for the Pirates.
Ethan Holzapfel scored during the 30th minute on a penalty kick just before halftime to make the score 3-0.
Dylan Brown scored the first goal of the second half, unassisted. Wilson Harris scored during the 43rd minute to make the score 5-0 in favor of the Pirates.
Trevor Kohari scored from an assist from Matt lambert during the 47th minute. Leedy scored again during the 49th minute, unassisted. Cameron Kohari scored during the 64th minute from a Lambert assist. Mendoza scored the final goal of the match to make the final score 9-0.
Belfry attempted 42 shots on the goal and Dewey Belcher from Pike Central had 13 saves. Ryan Eads finished the match at goalie for the Hawks with two saves. Pike Central attempted two shots at the goal and Dominic Gentile and Jacob Blackburn had one save a piece.
The Pirates rise to a record of 11-2 on the season and the Hawks fall to a record of 2-9.
The Pirates will face the Buckhorn Wildcats on Sept. 29. At 6:30 p.m. at home.
