Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
Unity. Such a small word with so much significance. Our little Tug Valley area is witnessing the power that comes with this little word.
Blessings. It is the direct result of Unity. It is as simple as this mathematical problem: Two plus two equals four. However it can be as difficult as this mathematical problem: a^2 + b^2 = c^2.
As we read the scripture above we see that Unity = Blessings. Our region is reaping the benefits of this Spiritual Equation. I have been in this area all of my life and I have never witnessed anything like this outpouring of God’s Spirit. Scores have been saved, healed, delivered and touched by the Hand of God! This outpouring is crossing denominational lines and congregational lines to the point that many pastors and leaders cancelled their own mid-week church service to come together at the Williamson Fieldhouse. Facebook is full of pictures and testimonies proclaiming that Jesus is better. And He is.
Through God this equation is simple. We complicate the equation with attitudes of jealousy, envy and other fruits of our flesh. Psalm 24:1-6 states “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.”
There is an older song entitled “Give us clean hands”. This piece is written from Psalms 24. I would that every person would youtube it. “Oh God let us be the generation that seeks, that seeks Your face Oh God of Jacob.” Let us continue to seek Your face God and not Your hand. Let us understand that every good things comes from you and we are powerless on our own.
We are seeing a generation that is not bound by denominational lines drawn in the sand by man. I am not saying denominations are bad nor every Pastor, leader or person that did not participate in this Move is bad. God knows each and every heart.
It is my sincere prayer that our area continues to awaken to the fact that Jesus is better. The evangelist will eventually leave. The fieldhouse will once again be empty. But our hearts, our minds, our love for one another, our love for Unity, our love for the Holy Spirit, our love for Christ, and our love for God does not have to leave nor do our hearts ever have to again be empty. Truly, #JESUSISBETTER. Amen!
