LOGAN, W.Va. — Following the joint execution of a search warrant by the U.S. Route 119 Drug Task Force and the West Virginia State Police (WVSP), three men from the Man, W.Va. area were recently arrested and arraigned on drug charges in Logan County Magistrate Court.
Members of the task force and the WVSP report they executed a search warrant at the home of Steven Wayne Copley, 54, of Accoville, W.Va. eventually finding a large haul of narcotics.
Throughout their search, law enforcement reportedly found 225 morphine pills that were 100 mg, over 220 oxymorphone pills of varying strengths and 86 lorazepam pills that were one milligram.
Officers also reportedly found a large amount of U.S. currency, and two handguns on the property.
Mark Allen Copley and Shane Tyler Noel were also found inside the residence.
The criminal complaint filed against Steven Copley explains, “As a result of the investigation of the US 119 Drug Task Force, it has been confirmed the accused, Steven Copley, Mark Copley and Shane Noel have all conspired and sold controlled substances from the residence of Steven Copley…”
Steven Copley, Mark Copley and Shane Noel were each charge with three felony counts of possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver and a felony count of conspiracy.
Bond for Mark Copley and Noel was set to $200,000 with a stipulation that 50 percent of the amount come from cash or surety. Steven Copley’s bail was set at $250,000 surety/cash bond.
