Kimberly Austin Chapman was recently named as Group Customer Service (CSR) Manager and Administrative Assistant for the Mountain District of Civitas Media. Those six newspapers include the Williamson Daily News, the Logan Banner, the Coal Valley News, the Coalfield Connection, the Gilbert Times and the Independent-Herald in Pineville.

Chapman has worked for the Williamson Daily News for more than eight years. She started her career as a circulation clerk and then six months later transferred to the advertisement department as an advertising clerk.

She is responsible for the CSR’s at all five locations.

“I am a people person,” Chapman said. “I love my job.”

“Kim has been a major help to me since I moved to southern West Virginia,” Publisher Ed Martin said. “She has made my transition much smoother.”

Chapman is a 1990 graduate of Williamson High School. She is the daughter of Ladonna Austin and the late Randall Austin. She has one child, 11-year old Raylee O’Brian Chapman a student at Williamson Pre-K 8. She is engaged to Kevin McMullen, who works for the Mingo County office of the W.Va. Division of Highways.
