UPIKE business lecture series Oct. 12

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – G. Alan Long, CPA, CITP, CGMA, will be the featured speaker for the University of Pikeville’s Coleman College of Business Speakers and Leadership Series. Long will speak on the topic “Leadership Development.” The event is set for Monday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m. in Booth Auditorium, Record Memorial Building.

Long is the managing member of Baldwin CPAs. A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Long received his accounting degree in 1979 and was certified in 1981. He was recognized in 2005 with a distinguished alumnus award from the School of Business and Technology at Eastern Kentucky University and currently serves on the EKU Board of Regents.

His service to the profession includes current membership on the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy, Compliance Assurance Committee for National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Practice Monitoring of the Future Task Forces and AICPA Peer Review Board. Long has served as the chair of the Oversight Task Force of the AICPA Peer Review Board, past president and secretary/treasurer of the Kentucky Society of CPAs (KyCPA), past chair of the Education Foundation of the KyCPA and past member of the Leadership Council of the AICPA.
