Bruce M. Moorer Sr., 58, of Williamson, died Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the Williamson Memorial Hospital, Williamson.

Born May 3, 1954, in Williamson, he was a son of the late Woodrow and Ruth Hampton Moorer. Bruce was a member of the Christ Temple Church, a licensed EMT, had an associate degree in Mining Technology from Pikeville College, was a coal miner and a truck driver for Bissack Trucking.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Smith Moorer of Williamson; one son, Bruce Moorer Jr. of the home; two sisters, Yvonne Southern of El Paso, Texas and Yolanda Singleton of Canton, Ohio; two brothers, Barry Moorer of Youngstown, Ohio and Donald (Barbara) Moorer of Youngstown; grandchildren, Isaiah Robinson, Eden Robinson, Japheth Robinson and Keturah Robinson and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 1, at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Moore officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday.
