Argil Lee Kirk, on July 8, 2012, of Crescent City, Calif., born in Calf Creek on May 5, 1933, passed away. He attended Chattaroy High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was awarded the bronze star and the purple heart for his bravery in battle.

He is preceded in death by father, Earl Kirk, of Kermit; mother, Helen Delong Kirk; sister, Dorothy Kirk Holto; brother, Kenneth “Sam” Kirk; first wife, Irma Lee Diamond Kirk; second wife, Margaret Kirk; third wife, Felicitas Kirk; two sons, Van Kirk and Oliver Daryl Kirk.

He is survived by his wife, Chris Kirk; son, Garth Kirk, of Wyoming; daughter, Ava Kirk Goodhue, of Chesapeak, Md.; son, Richard K. Kirk, of Fort Hood, Wash.; son, Sammy K. Kirk, of Walnut Creek, Calif.; he had 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Our father will be terribly missed but we take peace in knowing he has gone to our Lord God.

Our family greatly appreciates Mrs. Sara Ballard for all of her help nursing our father during this time.
