GILBERT - The annual Pepsi Twin Rivers Classic basketball game featuring seniors from southern West Virginia will be held at the Harless Center in Gilbert on Saturday, March 23.

The girl’s game starts at 6 p.m., while the boy’s teams will tipoff at 8 p.m. Several all-state players are scheduled to suit up for both squads. High school seniors from several counties will be participating. They include Mingo, Logan, Wayne, McDowell, Wyoming, Mercer and Raleigh.

Schools from as far away as Spring Valley down to Bluefield will have players on the roster.

Harvey Stacy is the chairman for this year’s all-star game.

“We are in the process of getting our rosters together and picking the coaches,” Stacy said.

Several players and coaches have committed to the Twin Rivers Classic.

“We expect several small college coaches to attend,” Stacy said. “They like to scout for some local talent.”

There is always a packed house for the senior all-star games, according to Stacy.
