COCOA BEACH, Fla. – A fugitive from Mingo County was arrested in Florida recently after he was held at gunpoint by a homeowner whose house he was attempting to rob.

Jacob Daniel Morrison, 27, formerly of Delbarton, has been a fugitive since he was indicted by the Mingo County Grand Jury in January for trafficking Oxycontin near Williamson High School.

His name was entered into the the National Crime Information Center database.

Morrison was attempting to rob a home in Titusville, Fla. when the homeowner discovered him, holding him at gunpoint until police arrived and he was arrested on home invasion charges. From there, authorities were able to trace him as a fugitive in West Virginia.

Rockel, along with Home Confinement Officer Kevin Wilson, traveled to Florida and brought Morrison back to Mingo County. He is currently housed in Southwestern Regional Jail, awaiting arraignment.
