She was born Jan. 29, 1934, at Heenon, Ky., the daughter of the late John D. and Rebecca Pinson Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jonah Smith Jr.; two brothers, Glenn Taylor and James Alfred Taylor; and two sisters, Matildia Blankenship and Magalene Taylor.
Grace was a homemaker and a member of the Apple Orchard Old Regular Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Sandy (David) Morgan of Ironton, Ohio, one sister, Easter (Rush) Muncy of Turkey Creek; two brothers, Junior Taylor of Hatfield, Ky., and Eugene (Betty) Taylor of Turkey Creek; grandson, Ryan David Morgan of Ironton, Ohio; granddaughter, Abygail Grace Morgan of Ironton, Ohio; her little dog, Monty; and a host of nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in the church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1, at the Turkey Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Albert Cable, Paul Maynard and Elbert Sesco officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery, Cold Fork, Turkey Creek.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Funeral Home Chapel with special services both nights at 7 p.m..
