Everette Brizendine, 74, of Phelps, Ky., died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at his residence.
As of presstime, arrangements were incomplete and will be announced at a later date by the Phelps Funeral Services of Phelps.
Merle Rock
Merle Lee Curry Rock, age 83, of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away Feb. 25, 2010.
Born September 16, 1926, in Delbarton, Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. James F. Rock; her parents, William Anderson and Gladys Glenden (Kirkendall) Curry; brother, Richard Lewis Curry; and sister, Dorothy Jeanne (Curry) Picklesimer.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Harold Kirk and Evelyn Curry of Morgantown; nephews, Kenneth Curry, (Patty) of Bridgeport and John C. Picklesimer, (Sandra) of S. Charleston; four great-nephews; one great-niece; four great- grandnephews; and several cousins.
She had a very successful career working at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and was active in both her church and community.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 29, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the Fairborn St. Luke United Methodist Church, 100 N Broad St., Pastor Merle Walter Jr. officiating. Condolences may be made at www.BeltonStroup.com.
Rod Smith
Rod Smith, beloved husband of Amber Smith, of Williamson, died suddenly Saturday morning, March 27, 2010, at Williamson Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will he held on Monday evening, March 29, 2010, from 6 p.m. to 9 pm, with rosary services at 7 p.m., at Weaver Mortuary in West Williamson.
Funeral servicves will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Williamson.
