William Copley

William James Copley, 47, of Delbarton, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Upper Bias, Delbarton, from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

He was born Aug. 8, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Nancy Pearl Copley and the late Charles Curtis Copley. Also preceeded in death by neice Cassidy Skylar Griffin.

James was a retired coal miner.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughters, Heather(Daniel) Mcilwaine, Charlene Copley of Oakboro, N.C., Kimberly(James) Hardin of Turkey Creek, Ky.; sons, William James Tyler Copley, Forest Clay Copley of Laurel Creek; brothers, Charles “Curt” Jr., Acie, Tom (Tracey) Copley of Delbarton; sisters, Curtistine (Gary) Dempsey, Geraldine (Tim) Griffin of Delbarton; grandchildren, Emma Mcilwaine, Sidney and Kadence Hardin.

Funeral services will be held at Chafin Funeral Home Mon. March 22, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Elder Eddie Layne officiating. Burial will follow at the Copley family cemetery at Bias.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 21, 2010, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Chafin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Nelson Mounts Jr.

Neslon Mounts Jr. of Baisden died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Isaban, Dec. 28, 1925, a son f the late Nelson and Angeline Simpson Mounts Sr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 23 at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall Staton officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilburn Cline Family Cemetery, Baisden.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert.

Marvin Simpson

Funeral services for Marvin E. Simpson, 68, of Naugatuck, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday; March 21, 2010 at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY and not at the Naugatuck Church of God as originally planned.

Barbara Walker

Barbara Walker, 68, of Hanover died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Welch, July 22, 1941, a daughter of the late Virgil Dee and Mae Browning Lester.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, March 22, at the Mounts Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Robert Hunt and Lonnie Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Walker Family Cemetery, Hanover.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert.
