He was born Feb. 24, 1948, in O’Keefe to the late William and Lula Dotson Blankenship.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by one daughter, one grandchild, and two brothers.
He was a member of the Beech Creek Church of Christ.
Those surviving Bobby are his wife Clearsie Cisco Blankenship; sons, Bobby Dale (Jennifer) Blankenship of Red Jacket, Christopher Lee (Loretta) Blankenship of North Matewan, Ballard (Shana) Blankenship of Red Jacket and Nathan Blankenship of Beech Creek; sisters, Dreama Lee Cisco of Beech Creek and Betty Lou Blankenship of Huntington; brother, Teddy Mack Blankenship of Huntington; and grandchildren Alvie-Mack Simpkins, Noah, Darius, Aaron, Samantha, and Curiana Blankenship.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 16, at Beech Creek Church of Christ, with ministers of the church officiating. Interment will occur at Lawson Cemetery, Right Hand Fork, Beech Creek, with family and friends acting as pallbearers.
Visitation will happen after 2 p.m., Thursday at the Beech Creek Church of Christ with special services at 7 p.m.
