Born April 4, 1962, he was the son of Rockford “Buster” and Mae Justice Looney of North Matewan.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Buddy Monroe Justice, Martha (Akers) Neal, and Joe and Mary Looney, and a very dear aunt, Stella Gladys Mitchell.
He was a disabled heavy equipment operator, having worked for White Flame Energy.
He is survived by brothers William Ray (Arnetta) Looney of Hardy, Ky., and Anthony Thomas Looney of North Matewan; and a sister, Martha Ann Christ-ian of North Matewan; Misty Bench of Aflex, Ky., and Shawn Bench of Red Jacket, who were raised in the home like a sister and a brother; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and close friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the Chambers Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Lowell Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
