LONDON, Ky. (AP) — The teenage parents of a southern Kentucky toddler are charged with murder after police say their child died from ingesting a chemical used to make methamphetamine.

Kentucky State Police say the child’s 19-year-old father and 14-year-old mother also are charged with manufacturing meth. The mother’s name was not released, but the police identified the father as Bryan Daniels of Monticello.

Police spokesman Don Trosper at the London KSP post said in a statement that the victim was 20 months old and was pronounced dead shortly before midnight Saturday at the Wayne County Hospital.

Four others were arrested and charged with manufacturing meth. They are Danny Anderson II, James Hunt, Alisha Dicken and Wesley Bell — all of Monticello.

Wayne County Circuit Clerk Richard Morrow said court records don’t list an attorney for any of those charged.
