Justine Faith Williamson Ball, 86, of Williamson, W.Va., passed away April 24, 1009 at the Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va. She was born September 25, 1922, in Pikeville, Ky., to the late N.B. “Poe” Williamson and Susan Staten Williamson.

In addition to her parents, Justine was preceded in death by her husband, M. Tabor Ball Jr.; sisters Beatrice Gillam, Hope Williamson, Fay Phillips, Lois Webb, & Mae Owens; and brothers John and Glen Williamson.

She was a homemaker,a former employee of Appalachian Power Company; and she, along with her husband, owned and operated the former Ball Funeral Home that served the people of Williamson and the surrounding areas for many years. Mrs. Ball graduated from John’s Creek School and Pikeville College. She was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps WACS, and was ranked as a Corporal upon her discharge.

Her survivors include her children, Karen (John) Yost of Prichard, W.Va., Marion “Sissy” (Steve) Cochran of Williamson, W.Va., M.T. “Chip” (Tammy) Ball of Williamson, W.Va.; grandchildren,Bradley Scott (Adria) Yost of Huntington, W.Va., Ashley (Matt) Williamson of Prichard, W.Va.,Tracee (Joe) Hinkle of Barboursville, W.Va.,Derek Steven Cochran of Huntington, W.Va., Amanda (Andrew) Rosenbalm of Bristol, Va., Ashley (Christopher) Justice of Beech Creek, W.Va.; great grandchildren, Jillian Faith Yost, Seth Joseph Hinkle, Lexy Rosenbalm, Kayla Rosenbalm,Brayden Justice, and Shaela Justice; and brother Grover Williamson of Chicago, Ill.

Also surviving is a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Justine will be at 11 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2009 at Hatfield Funeral Chapel, with Ernie Ritchie officiating.

Burial will follow in the Williamson Family Cemetery at John’s Creek, Ky. Pallbearers will be family members.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home.
