Ida Curry Hurst, 91 of Upper Sheppard Town Road, Delbarton, passed away June 26, 2013 at her home.


She was born April 29, 1922 at Cow Creek, the daughter of the late Greenway and Louise Vernatter Curry.


She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Eugene Hurst, brothers, Tom (Ernestine) Curry, Mack Curry, Earnest (Rosalene) Curry, and Zeke (Barbara) Curry, sisters, Ermatrude (Salavador) Rosendo, Iva (Bill) Chafin, Alice Curry and Edna (Bill) Maynard.


Mrs. Hurst was a homemaker.


Those left behind to cherish her memories include her sons, Randall Hurstof Delbarton, Willard Hurst of Hazel Park, MI, Ronald (Lillian) Hurst of Sarah Ann, LeRoy (Dot) Hurst of Winston Salem, N.C., Terry (Donna) Hurst of Lenore and Larry (Opal) Hurst of Delbarton, daughters, Clara (Chris) Wallace of Madison Heights, Mich., Mary (Larry) Welch of Coldwater, and Thelma Hurst of Madison Heights, Mich. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Sunday June 30, 2013 at 12 p.m. with Elder Jimmy Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Lenore Memorial Gardens at Lenore.


Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel Sunday from 11 a.m. until the start of the funeral.
