Kentucky State Police Post 9 is investigating the discovery of skeletal human remains along the Ridgeline Road area of Pike County yesterday.

The remains were discovered in a wooded area by a nearby resident, Public Information Offi-cer Mike Goble reported.

Investigators worked throughout the day and were assisted at the scene by Forensic Anthropolo-gist Dr. Emily Craig, of the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office, Goble reported. The remains were removed from the scene and are pending positive identification by the medical examiner.

There are two people from Pike County listed on the KSP Web site as missing — Glinver "Glen" Osborne, last seen March 2, 2006, and Sandy Marie Hess, last seen January 7, 2005.

The investigation is ongoing by Post 9 Detective Kevin New-some.
