Oleta Thacker of Turkey Creek, Ky., departed this earth and into the arms of the Lord on April 18, 2013.

She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. She was born August 27, 1946 at South Williamson, Ky.

She was a devoted Christian, mother, wife, granny, sister and friend. She dedicated her entire life to serving the Lord and to her family. She loved her husband, children and grandsons unconditionally. Her smile and laughter would light up the room. Her words of encouragement and comfort were a blessing. She always made anyone feel at home and had a sense of humor that could make laughter be heard throughout the house. She is walking the streets of gold alongside her parents Willard and Hazel Sellards and her sister, Annis Clark.

She leaves behind and awaits patiently to be reunited with her husband, Lee Thacker, daughters, Cheryl Thacker, Angela (David) Hackney and Kari (Brandon) Mayhorn, and son Derek Thacker. Her precious grandsons, Keaton Hackney, Ethan Hackney, and Trevor Thacker. Her sisters, Phyllis Williamson and Dollie Preece and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday April 22, 2013 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY with J.B. Smith, Greg Stepp, Caleb Carter, Caleb Tackett, Noah Carter and Coty Williamson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Hackney and Brandon Mayhorn.
