LOGAN — In preparation for the 2013 West Virginia hunting seasons and the rules and regulations that govern them, the Division of Natural Resources have scheduled public meetings around the state to discuss the matters and educate local hunting enthusiasts.

The WVDNR have announced meetings today in Glen Dale, Moorefield, Elkins, Beckley, Logan and Parkersburg.

The proposed regulations include 2013 rules for white-tailed deer, wild turkey, black bear and board, and general hunting and trapping regulations for 2014-2015.

Public comment will be taken during the meetings. Hunters, trappers, anglers, landowners and other interested parties also can discuss the proposed regulations with state wildlife biologists and conservation officers.

Written comments will be accepted through April 5.
