Tug Valley fared well in some individual statistics categories from the W.Va. state high school basketball tournament.

Mikey Newsome had the 5th highest single game point total with 23 in the Notre Dame game. Newsome was also in the top 10 with scoring average. He had 17 ppg. and he had the most 3-point attempts with 21. He made six 3’s for 2nd place in that category.

Aaron Muncy was 2nd with four 3-pointers in one game in the final against Charleston Catholic. Hayden Sturgell was tops in 3-point field goal percentage with a perfect 100 percent.

Newsome was first in steals with seven against Notre Dame.

Austin Brewer had the single game best in assists with 10 vs. Notre Dame. Brewer also was tied for 3rd in field goals made with 17. Thomas Baisden and Newsome both had 16 and tied for 4th place.

Baisden was 2nd with 12 offensive rebounds in the tourney.
