WILLIAMSON — A woman who is no stranger to the Mingo County judicial system, and her sister, were arrested by officers with the Williamson Police Department on outstanding warrants issued for reasons of petit larceny and battery.
The criminal complaints against Crystal Davidson, 25, and Markia Davidson, 22, both of Vinson Street, states that warrants was obtained against the siblings on Feb. 15 for an alleged crime that occurred on Feb. 9th of this year. The sisters are said to have entered The Liquor Store, a business located on 3rd Ave. in Williamson, with the intent to steal liquor. The siblings were exiting the business with two bottles of liquor that were not paid for when a store employee attempted to stop them. When the clerk placed his hand on Markia’s arm, Crystal allegedly shoved the man to the floor, causing him physical harm.
Law enforcement had been unable to locate the Davidson sisters until this past Friday evening when they responded to a report of an altercation in progress on Vinson Street, which involved the wanted females. They were taken into custody by WPD Lt. G.P. Dotson and Sgt. J. Spence after being served with the warrants.
Crystal was charged with petit larceny and battery, and was released from custody after posting a $2,000 personal recognizance bond issued by Mingo County Magistrate Dee Sidebottom. Markia was also released after meeting the stipulations of her $1,000 personal recognizance bond set by Sidebottom. According to magistrate court officials, Crystal has 15 arrests on record within Mingo County.
