CHATTAROY - A Thursday morning fire claimed the home of a Chattaroy man.

Donald Elkins’ house at Litton Hollow was a total loss after the fire. Elkins said he thought the fire was started by an electric heater.

The Chattaroy Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call with two trucks and three firefighters. The Williamson Fire Department assisted the Chattaroy Department with three firefighters and one truck.
