Virginia “Jenny” White, 82, of Varney, passed away January 15, 2013, at the Cornerstone Hospital in Huntington.
She was born October 10, 1930, at Toler, Ky., the daughter of the late Taylor and Annie Grimmette Clemons.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Ray White; and daughter, Vickie White.
Mrs. White was a homemaker and member of the Varney Church of God.
Her survivors include her daughter, Faye and husband, Trellis Cisco of Varney; brother, Willard Clemons of Cleveland, Ohio; and sister, Betty Smith of Springfield, Il. She dearly loved her grandchildren, Kathryn Sturgill, Jarrod Cisco, Christa Evans and Andrea Gilman. Her great-grandchildren include, Ashley Sturgill, Austin Cisco, Jessica Sturgill, Tessa Cisco, Anthony Sturgill, Dylan Evans and Lindsey Evans. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and Friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 18, at the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gary “Bo” Starr, the Rev. Bill Snodgrass and Bro. Charles West officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery at Varney. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday evening.
