Carmel Fish, 89 of McAndrews, Ky. passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in the Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born July 10, 1923 in Pike County, Ky. the daughter of the late Roland T. and Chloe Hensley. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Fish and a host of brothers and sisters.
She was a homemaker and member of the Octavia Freewill Baptist Church. Carmel is survived by two daughters, Carmel Jean (Ray) Stanley of McAndrews, Kentucky and Debbie (Phillip) “Joe Bear” Church of McAndrews, Kentucky; four sons, George (Yvonne) Gillman of Ohio, Hobert “Hobo” (Ann) Fish of McVeigh, Kentucky, John B. Fish of Hardy, Kentucky and Douglas (Betsie) Fish of Johns Creek, Kentucky.; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren with two great grandchildren on the way.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Octavia Freewill Baptist Church with Gerria Reynolds and Dennis Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Kentucky with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 10 PM Wednesday and Thursday Evening at the Octavia Freewill Baptist Church, with special services both nights at 7 PM.
