Vada Ann Dingess — loving daughter, mother, and friend — 36, of Slater’s Branch, Ky., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2012, from the Pikeville Medical Center following a lingering illness.


Born February 5, 1976, in Williamson, she was the daughter of Curtis and Betty Chafins Dingess of Slater’s Branch.


She was preceded in death by her brother Joey Dingess.


Vada was the office manager for Appalachian Psychological Associates in Williamson, a member of the Leckieville Freewill Baptist Church, and she was a supporter and participant in the Light the Night Leukemia Walk.


Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her son Joshua Curtis Sesco of Slater’s Branch; a nephew Peyton Dingess of Slater’s Branch; special friends Pam Ryan and Robin Browning; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.


Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 15, at 1 p.m. from the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, Ky., with Charlie Dingess and Lee Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher. Active pallbearers will be Dennis Dillon, Nate Dillon, Bill Fuller, Brandon Thacker, Keith Evans, Lacey Edminston, Michael Chafins, Jeremy Steele, and Mikey Muncy. Honorary pallbearers will be A.J. Ryan, Sam Kapourales, Troy Chafins, George Edminston, Andy Dillon, Dewey Dingess, Johnny Dingess, Matt Hicks, and Matt Ray. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
