Alfred R. Curry, 75, of Elk Creek, passed away October 10, 2012, near his home.

He was born January 12, 1937, at Elk Creek, the son of the late Okey Curry and Celia Gilman Baisden.

He was also preceded in death by his poppy, Harrison Baisden; brothers, James (Jimmy) Rife and Okey Lee Curry; sister, Cathy Elaine Baisden; son, Lewis (Bub) Curry.

Alfred was a disabled truck driver.

His survivors include his ex-wife, of 14 years, Adria Moore; son, Alfred II (Lisa) Curry; daughters, Peggy (John) Conley and Patty (Gary) Carwell; brothers, Lonzo (Ann) Curry, Harrison (Linda) Baisden, David Baisden, Danny Baisden and Paul Ray Baisden; sisters, Eloise White and Brenda Nolan. He has 11 grandchildren, 29 and a half great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Monday October 15, at 11 a.m. with Elder Billy Baisden officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilman Cemetery at Elk Creek. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Pallbearers will be Friends and Family.
