LOGAN (AP) — The Hatfield-McCoy Trails raked in the dough last year.

Treasurer Glen Yost says the Hatfield-McCoy Regional Recreation Authority's net income for 2008 exceeded $760,000.

Total operating revenues from permit sales and other income were up about $180,000 over 2007 sales. Yost says user fees alone increased 20 percent.

More than 550 miles of off-road trails in southern West Virginian are open to four-wheelers and motorcycles with more paths being planned.

The trail system is named after the two families who carried on a famous 12-year feud in the region.
