WILLIAMSON - The women of the Fifth Avenue Church of Christ are extending an invitation to all women from the Tug Valley area to make plans to attend their annual “Salad Supper,” scheduled for Friday, Oct. 5.

The theme for this year’s event will be “Super Stars for Christ,” and is being dedicated to the memory of the late Barbara Aliff, a faithful and committed member of the ladies group of the church who passed away earlier this year.

Everyone is asked to bring a salad dish of their choice to share with others attending. Please contact Peggy Barnett at 304-235-2516 or Sherry Hatfield at 606-525-5032 if you plan to attend.

The celebration is set to begin at 6 p.m., and Hatfield said that she is hoping they will increase their attendance numbers from last year’s event, and encourages women of all faiths to plan to spend an evening filled with fellowship and delicious food.
