Peggy McClure Maynard Mills, 86, of Paris, passed from this life Monday September 10, 2012, at Paris Regional Medical Center South.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday September 13, in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ben Read officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
Peggy was born September 21, 1925, in Williamson, to O.T. (Jack) and Betty McClure Maynard.
She was raised by Betty and a stepfather, A.L. (Red) Woodward, in Ft. Worth. She married Robert M. (Bob) Mills on October 31, 1947, in Ft. Worth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob; and her beloved aunt Mary Esther Cunningham.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Candy) Jones and husband Tom, of Sumner; a son, H.A. (Buddy) Mills and wife Marcia, of Ft. Worth; grandchildren Jason and Jennifer Jones, of Merit, Marshall and Amber Jones, of McKinney, Ashlee and Frank Bellucci, Whitney and Brad Turner and Tanner M. Mills, all of Ft. Worth; by six great-grandchildren; a sister, Yvonne Scott, of Hemet, Calif.; and a beloved aunt, Helen McClure, of Barboursville.
