GOODY, Ky. – The Belfry High School soccer teams had the unique privilege to have a former professional soccer player at their team camp this week.
Victor Petroni is a retired Canadian soccer Haridas Chandran, believes that his team will do very well this season. The first game for the boys and girls is August 14, at Paintsville. He likes having Petroni work with the soccer team. Belfry has only had a team since 2007.
Petroni has also been instructing the Lady Pirates soccer team. Virginia “Ginny” Bowen is the girl’s coach for Belfry.
Petroni is being assisted by Aaron Harkins.
