Cecil Harry Daniels, 65, of Kermit, passed away Sunday, July 1, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington.

He was born March 25, 1947, at Majestic, Ky.

Cecil is proceeded on death by his father, Robert Daniels; three brothers, Ronald, Asa and Anthony Daniels; two stepsisters, Sandra Vance and Robin Mantecon.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; and daughter, Amanda Daniels; a stepdaughter, Kristy Fields, of Kermit; a stepson, Zane Gamble, of Indianapolis, Ind.; two step-granddaughters, Leandra Kirk and Allison Fields. He is also survived by his mother, Goldie Vance and stepfather Elbert Vance, of Beaver, Ohio; two brothers Michael Daniels, of Minford; Richard (Janice) Tiller, of Beaver; two sisters, Rosa (Henry) Davis, of Beaver and Jennifer (Melvin) Yates, of South Carolina; one stepsister, Janet Stanley, of Tennessee; one stepbrother, John (Sherry) Vance, of North Carolina.

Cecil was a retired coal miner who had to retire early because of health issues. He was a man who never met a stranger. He spent a great deal of time with his family in the Beaver area. He will be greatly missed and so loved.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 4, at the Neely Branch Church in Kermit, with Kenneth Vance officiating the service. Burial was at the Bog Run Cemetery in Lucasville, Ohio.
