The award will be presented by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.

Bitancurt was a 2011 Groza semifinalist with double-figure scoring in games seven times, including a bowl record 10-10 extra point attempts against Clemson in the Orange Bowl. He led all Big East players in scoring last season and ranks fifth on WVU’s all-time kick scoring list with 260 career points.

Ebanks resigns with Lakers

Former WVU basketball player Devin Ebanks has signed a deal to remain with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to the LA Times.

Ebanks completed his second season with the Lakers in May when the team fell to the Western Conference champions Oklahoma City Thunder. He averaged four points and 2.3 rebounds in 16.5 minutes for Los Angeles.

The deal is a for one year and is worth $1.4 million.

“This makes the most sense for him,” Ebanks’ agent, David Bauman, told The Times. “This isn’t a financial decision as [much as] a career decision.”
