Pike County Central assistant baseball coach Isaac Williamson had a surprise for his girl friend Amanda Lovern this past Wednesday night before the 60th District championship game played at Belfry. Williamson had her come out onto the baseball diamond, got down on his knee before the game and proposed to Lovern, who is a 2006 Belfry graduate. The two had known each other since they went to Bevins Grade School together. And by the way - the answer was ‘YES.’ Williamson, a 2006 gradudate of Pike Central, played baseball at PCHS and went on to play for Pikeville College. Lovern was a standout softball player at Belfry. The date has not been set for the pending nuptials.
