Dear editor:
I was a lifelong resident of West Virginia until September 2011, and am now living in Ohio.
I view with disbelief the fact that West Virginia Democrats voted for a prison inmate instead of President Obama. People all over America are laughing at West Virginia voters. CNN really had a field day with this tidbit today.
For all those who blame Obama for not doing more for the economy;, consider this: from 1968 to 2008, Republicans were elected to the presidency 28 years and Democrats were in office only 12 years.
It takes more than three years to clean up the mess left by eight years of Bush.
Shame on you, Democrats.

1968 to 2008, 40 years...who controlled the House all those years? WHO authored most of those economic bills, from 1968 through 1994? ALL spending bills during these years were controlled by the Democrat Party. From 1994-2006, it was R's; from 2007-2010, back to the Democrats for a total of 28 years. That is 28 years out of 40 total.
For the Senate, pretty much the same, except I think the R's did have the Senate maybe from 1986-1988, so give the Democrats 26 years credit there.
EVERY bad bill begins in the House. Then goes to the Senate. Finally goes to the President. Presidents can either sign or veto what the Congress sends them.
And, by the way, you are way out of step with the vast majority of West Virginians when it comes to Obama.
