A Milton man died in a two-vehicle accident in the Sidney community of Pike County, Ky., on Sunday.
According to a release from Kentucky State Police Public Information Officer Shaun Little, James Stephen Adams, age unavailable, of Milton, was driving a 2011 Dodge Dakota pick-up, as one of two rear escorts following a piece of heavy equipment being transported on U.S. 119.
“Information obtained at the scene indicates that Adams had made a stop and as he caught up with the other escort vehicle he lost control of his vehicle and struck the vehicle which was being towed, a 785C rock truck,” the release stated.
Adams was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Mike Hall.
The accident remains under investigation by Tpr. Bryan Layne. He was assisted on scene by Tpr. Jeremy Giles and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Sgt. Keith Justice.
