WILLIAMSON - Mingo County Prosecuting Attorney C. Michael Sparks has released the list of indictments returned by the April Grand Jury, and expressed his gratitude to all those who served as jurors.
A total of 31 cases presented by Sparks and his assistant prosecutors contained evidence to support an indictment, with 12 of those being drug-related felony charges that are sealed to the public until after the defendant is arrested and arraigned before Mingo County Circuit Judge Michael Thornsbury.
The felony counts against the 31 defendants include child neglect, operating a Meth lab, grand larceny, burglary, malicious assault, DUI causing death, forgery, and several possessions of a controlled substance and intent to deliver, to name a few.
An arraignment of those indicted is scheduled for this morning, beginning at 9 a.m.
A complete list of those arrested and arraigned will be printed in Friday’s edition of the Daily News, along with details of the crimes they are accused of committing.
