Renegades shoot down Panthers

CLEAR FORK – The Westside Renegades defeated Tug Valley 14-4 in five innings on the baseball diamond on Monday evening.

The Panthers were coming off their first win of the season. Chuckie White was the losing pitcher, while Brayer Morgan got the win on the mound for the home team. Kevin Brown and Jordon Mounts also saw action on the mound for Tug Valley. The Panthers committed seven errors in the contest.

Tug Valley first baseman Jordon Mounts is batting .500 for the season. Had a double in the 1st inning, and later a single and an RBI. White had a triple and a double with one RBI to help his own cause. David Runyon also had a base hit for the Panthers.

The Renegades were led in hitting by James Robertson and J.R. Harper. Both had two hits. Several other players had singles for Westside. The Renegades had 11 total hits.

Tug Valley was scheduled to play at Van on Tuesday and Jenkins, Ky. today.
