HAMLIN – The Mingo Central boy’s tennis team ran their record to 3-and-2 for the season with a win over Lincoln High School. The Miners came away with three wins and one loss in singles matches and wins in a pair of double matches.

The girls’ team played their best matches of the season, according to Coach Julius “Boo” Hatcher. Sara Fields lost love-8; Miranda Collins fell 2-8, while in hard fought battles Emily Hatfield fell 6-8 and Taylor Blevins lost 4-8.

In doubles action Collins and Hatfield lost love-8, Fields and Jessica Hall fell just short 6-8 and Blevins and Brittney Evans loss 2-8. The girls record is now 0 – 5 on the season.
