Shelby Valley beats Tug Valley

The Tug Valley Panthers went on the road Wednesday and lost to Shelby Valley 10-4.

Chuckie White started the game on the mound for coach Jeff Varney, but was relieved by Zack Baize. Gabe Varney finished the game for Tug Valley. Baize took the loss on the mound. Elswick got the win for the Wildcats in relief.

Tug Valley committed nine errors, which led to the defeat.

Several players got a hit for Tug Valley including Jordon Mounts, Varney, White, David Runyon, Kevin Brown and Aaron Muncy. White scored two runs for the Panthers, while Josh Spry, who reached on an error, also scored a run. Runyon scored Tug’s last run.

Tug Valley is now 0-2 on the season and is scheduled to play Mingo Central today at Gilbert.
