Evelyn Joyce May Sesco, 69 of Canada, Ky. passed peacefully from this life Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born July 20, 1939 at Canada, Ky. the daughter of Sybil Chapman May of Canada, Ky. and the late William Isom May.  She was also preceded in death by her ex-husband, Chester Sesco and son, Kenneth Chester Sesco. 

She was a retired emergency room nurse at the Pikeville Methodist Hos-pital for 27 years.  She was a member of the Belfry Freewill Baptist Church and a 1957 graduate of Belfry High School.  She loved reading, crocheting and many other needle craft hobbies.  Her cat Duke spent every night by her side since her illness.  She will be greatly missed by a host of  family and friends.

Beside her Mother she is survived by her children, Sheila Joyce Sesco Collins of Canada, Ky., David Leon (Monica) Sesco of La-Crosse, Fl., Joseph William (Daphyne) Sesco of Mc-Intosh, Fl., Cibil Ann Sesco (Shane) Reaves of Calhoun, Ga. and Media Ann May (Dwayne) Coleman of Canada, Ky.,  and Mary Elaine Hunt of Hatfield, Ky. whom she considered a daughter.  One brother, Car-los Ray (Juanita) May of Brunswick, SC, 10 grandchildren, Willy Collins, Jer-emy Allen Collins, Chester Franklin Sesco, Lucas Matthew Sesco, Savannah Rose Sesco, Broc Aedan Forrest May Reaves, Ken-neth Daniel Reaves, Audra Ann Sesco, Cory Blaine Coleman and Christopher Dwayne Coleman and three great grandchildren, Brit-tany Nicole Collins, Derek Keith Collins and Summer Dawn Collins.  She is also survived by Lynn Price of Paintsville, Ky. whom she considered the sister she never had and by a special cousin, Pauline.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 18, 2009 at 11 AM at the Belfry Freewill Baptist Church with Buddy Kendrick officiating.  Burial will follow in the Chapman Cemetery, Canada, Ky.  Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday and Saturday at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, Ky. with special services both nights at 7 PM.  Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
