Paula Reed

Paula Jean West Reed, 45, of Sidney, Ky., passed away Wednesday night, September 21, 2011, at her residence.

She was born May 1, 1966 at Williamson, to Nita Jean Smith West of Sidney, Ky. and the late Tunis West. She is also preceded in death by her grandparents, Cullen and Ethel Smith and Finis and Flora West.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Williamson Area Church of Christ.

Besides her mother she is survived by her husband, Phillip Rodney Reed; daughter, Ashley Elyse Tussey of South Williamson, Ky.; brothers, Steve West of Sidney and Jarrod West of of Sidney; sisters, Sandy Reed of Canada, and Allyson Kendrick of Sidney; and a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday September 26, at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Charles Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Crigger Cemetery, Sidney, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home with special services at 7 p.m. Sunday night.

Bonnie King

Mrs. Bonnie Sue Hackworth King, 70, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011. Mrs. King was born February 1, 1941, in Mingo County, to James and Sylvia Clay Hackworth. She was a member of East Williamson Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, James King; two brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Scott, Billy Scott, and Johnny Scott; one sister, Clara Henderlight; three brothers, James Hackworth, Gene Hackworth, and Carl Hackworth; two grandchildren, Andrew and Jonathan Scott; several nieces and nephews, including one very special nephew.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, September 25, at 2 p.m. at Fall Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmore, N.C. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fall Creek Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
