Lan Morris Holbrook, 60, of Davin, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 28, 1950, he was the son of Jacqueline Holbrook of Galipolis, Ohio, and the late Richard Holbrook.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, May 21, at Mounts Funeral Home in Gilbert, with the Rev. Roger Frye officiating. Burial will follow at the Guyan Cemetery in Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, May 20, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel.
Mounts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Harvey Jack Riffe, 49, of Premier, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011.
He was born in Welch, to the late Issaac and Alberta Howard Riffe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mae Gibson, Lola Jane Mullis, Kathlene Stanley; and one brother, Carlos Howard.
He was a truck driver and was of the Holiness faith.
He is survived by five brothers, Irving (Alma Sue) Riffe of Premier; Dotson (Bonnie) Riffe, Jonny Riffe, James (Connie) Riffe, all of Jefferson, Ga., Eugene (Bonnie) Riffe of Elkins; two sisters Cassie (David) Sizemore and Irene Hall of Yadkinville, N.C.; several nieces, nephews and a host of other dear family and friends who loved him very much.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bubby Falvo officiating. Burial will follow in the Riffe and Cline Cemetery, Steels of Hanover. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family at the funeral home Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
