The Mingo Central Miners participated in the Cardinal Conference Grid-o-rama scrimmages this past Saturday on the field turf at Scott High School’s football stadium in Madison. The Miners defeated the Logan Wildcats 38-12. This Friday night they kick off the regular season taking on Wyoming East on the road. The game is slated to start at 7:30 p.m. The Miners, coached by Yogi Kinder, made it to the semi-finals of the Class AA playoffs last season. They are hoping to take the next step and make it to Wheeling Island Stadium this season for the championship game.
