The storm clouds threatened to roll in all game, but the only rolling was the Lady Pirates score. Alli Slone scored the lone run for the Lady Warriors as the lead off batter. Gannon struck out the next two batters but Hannah Coleman got the RBI that knocked in Slone for the score before Gannon get get the last out with a strikeout.

Stafford and Smith, the short stop and second base duo, has kept base runners in check all season with the aid of Taylor Maynard firing in throws from behind home plate.
The Lady Pirates float into a record of 17-15 on the season and head into the District Tournament with tons of steam. The Tournament is rumored to be held at the new softball stadium at Phelps but no official announcement has been made as of yet. The Lady Pirates will head into the tournament in the second seed with a district record of 4-2 and will play the Pike Central Lady Hawks in the opening round. The Lady Pirates have bested the Lady Hawks twice during the regular season but have fallen to Lawrence County in both regular season meetings.
