The Region 4, Section 2, Class A sectional tournament seeds were released on Wednesday.

The No. 3 ranked Tug Valley Panthers once again received the top seed in their section.

The first round games will be on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the home gyms of the teams with the highest seeds. The local Class A coaches have voted to have the sectional games played at the home gymnasiums rather than at a neutral site like the Williamson or Logan Fieldhouse.

In those first round games, No. 3 Man will take on No. 6 Montcalm on Sat. at the Man Fieldhouse at 7:00 p.m.

Also on Saturday, No. 4 Greater Beckley Christian (GBC) will take on Sherman in Beckley, with the tipoff at 7:00 p.m.

The semi-final games will be played on Tuesday.

No. 1 Tug Valley will host the winner of GBC-Sherman game, March 1 at 7:00 p.m. in Naugatuck.

No. 2 Van, a top 10 team this year in Class A, will take on the winner of the Man-Montcalm game on Tuesday, March 1 starting at 7:00 p.m. on their home court in Boone County.

The two winners of the semi-final games will play for the sectional championship on Friday, March 4, on the home court of the team with the best record. That game will also tip off at 7:00 p.m.

Coach Edwyn May will be in his first year as head coach of the Tug Valley Panthers. His squad returns several players that made it to the state tournament last season, but were eliminated in the first round at the Charleston Civic Center.
