Tug Valley still second


Panthers ranked No.2 for third straight week.

WILLIAMSON – The fifth week of the West Virginia AP Prep Polls has been released and the Tug Valley Panthers remain seated at No.2 in the Class A category.

The Panthers lost a heartbreaking game during the Hatfield-McCoy Shootout against No. 9, in Class 3A George Washington, by a final score of 75-67. The Panthers started out at No.4 in the preseason polls and quickly rose to No.2. Tug Valley has been at No. 2 behind Wheeling Central for three straight weeks now.

The Man Hillbillies come in at No. 10 in Class A this week.

Huntington, Poca and Wheeling Central remain at the top of the polls. Many games were postponed due to the winter storm this past weekend.
