He led the Bulldogs to the Mingo County championship. He had five TDs in the game. For the season Hatfield had 41 rushes for 1,120 yards and 19 rushing TDs. He also scored seven 2-point conversions. Hatfield passed for 409 yards and 7 TDs this season. This was back-to-back titles for the Delbarton area school. He was also a defensive back and scored four TDs on defense.
